Cemetery History
The Jones Cemetery has been in existence since the early 1800's.
It was incorporated with New York State in 1849.
There are many war veterans buried here, including a Revolutionary War soldier.
Many old family names from the Trumansburg, Perry City, Reynoldsville,
The earliest documented grave was opened in 1835.
The American Legion post from nearby Trumansburg decorates the veterans' graves with flags every Memorial Day.
Mecklenburg and Hector areas are well represented here.
